Pothos is a quote app. This policy describes exactly what data Pothos collects, why, and what it does not collect.
Pothos includes an in-app feedback form. If you choose to submit feedback, the text you type — along with the category you selected (General, Feature Request, Content Request, or Bug Report) — is sent to a private messaging channel we use to read and respond to feedback.
That is the only network request Pothos makes with any user-provided content. We do not attach your name, device identifiers, location, timestamps, or any other information to that message. If you don't use the feedback form, nothing about you is ever transmitted anywhere.
Feedback submissions are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across sessions or devices.
Pothos stores the following information locally, on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
This local data may be shared between the Pothos app and its widget on your device (via an iOS App Group), but it never leaves your device.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. We have no advertising partners and no data-broker relationships.
When you tap save on a quote card you've created, Pothos asks for permission to add that image to your Photo Library. This is an add-only permission — Pothos cannot read, browse, or otherwise access your existing photos. Pothos never requests, and does not have, permission to view your photo library.
Feedback messages you submit remain in the private messaging channel we use to read them until we manually delete them. There is no fixed retention schedule beyond that.
If data protection law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to request access to, deletion of, or to object to the processing of your personal data. You can exercise these rights through the in-app feedback form. Because feedback submissions are not linked to your identity, we generally cannot look up a specific past submission unless you identify which one it was (for example, by quoting part of its text back to us).
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Pothos does not track users in any form, so there is no tracking for a DNT signal to disable — the app behaves the same regardless of any such setting.
Pothos is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because Pothos does not collect identifying information at all, this applies equally regardless of the user's age.
If Pothos's data practices change, this page will be updated and the "Effective / last updated" date above will change accordingly. For material changes, we will also show a notice in the app the next time a relevant update is available.
Pothos is developed by Kingston Preest, based in Glendale, Arizona, USA. Questions or complaints about this policy can be sent through the feedback form inside the Pothos app — that is the channel we monitor for exactly this purpose.
